PARTNERSHIP

We aim to create a world in which the natural environment, society and economy are in balance and harmony.

ECONYL®

In contrast to virgin nylon yarns, which are made from crude oil, ECONYL® fibers are made from nylon waste (fishing nets, ghost nets, industrial plastics, landfill carpets) collected from the world's oceans. It is

This is a slow, meaningful and rewarding process.

You can join the ecological world by making eco-friendly choices.

・Approximately one bikini disposes of about 180-200g of plastic waste from the ocean each

・The beauty of ECONYL® is exactly the same as brand new nylon, and it has the potential to be endlessly recycled, remade and remolded without loss of quality.

・The impact of recycled nylon on global warming can be reduced by up to 80% compared to ordinary petroleum materials.

But at the same time, our fabrics are mostly made of recycled plastic, which releases tiny microfibers into the water system.

Because we want the fabric to have some stretch, we mix ECONYL® fiber with elastane, the fabric is 78% ECONYL® & 22% elastane.

So far, the fabric cannot be recycled due to the mixed fibres.

Tip: We recommend the GuppyFriend Washing Bag to address this issue at this time.

And to make sure your swimwear lasts for years to come, be sure to follow the washing and care instructions on the product tag.

The ultimate future goal is "100% recyclable"

To collect used pieces and recycle them into new pieces.

This technology is currently under development and will soon become a reality.

Healthy Seas

HealthySeas is an initiative of non-governmental organizations and companies that share a common mission to clean up our oceans from marine litter, primarily derelict fishing nets that contribute to the unnecessary death of marine animals.

Fishnets collected by HealthySeas divers and fishermen are transported to the ECONYL® Reclamation System, where they are transformed into new, high-quality yarn used in all collections.

Collected net → sent to Aquafil factory in Slovenia for depolymerization → Depolymerized nylon beads are spun at ECONYL® factory in Italy → CarvicoFabrics in northern Italy for durable, high quality swimwear spun into fabric

・Every time you make a purchase, "1% of the proceeds will be donated to HealthySeas". This donation will go towards cleaning our oceans, protecting marine life, preventing future pollution, and recycling resources.

・Over 585 tons collected since 2013

・Accounting is done at the end of each fiscal year, and 1% of profits are donated to HealthySeas
